Encouraging the Harvest, Grain by Grain

By Connie Amaya –

I was blessed today! The worship service was wonderful and powerful at the same time.  I appreciated our pastor’s dedication to make “ONE LORD, ONE CHURCH” a reality in this community!  How important it is to keep up the good work and “do not faint” for in due time we will reap a harvest!

I felt filled with the Spirit’s conviction. On the walk home from church I confessed and asked God to forgive my disobedience.  Suddenly I was overcome with a desire to share the gospel with my next door neighbors.

I went to church to enjoy the music at 6 pm and had only been there a short time when I was moved to get up and leave!   I could not make sense of it because I had just arrived!  I found myself approaching my neighbor’s house where three of them were sitting on their porch.  I stopped and said, “Isn’t this a beautiful day? The Bible tells us, ‘This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it.’”

One asked me to repeat what I said about the Bible!  I asked, “Do you know how much God loves you?”  Another friend passed by and I introduced him to my neighbors and told them about his ministry with street kids. They showed interest in his ministry and offered to go with him the next time.

One neighbor said that she was a dedicated Christian but something happened and she became angry with God.  But today someone at the park told her that God loved her. Then I came along and told her the same thing!  It brought tears to her eyes.
